Responsible Dog Ownership Day - Yay

Image via WikipediaWhat a pleasant surprise to learn that there's such a thing. The American Kennel Club (AKC) has held Responsible Dog Ownership Day (RDOD) events since 2005.

This year the AKC is holding its 1st virtual RDO days, 2010 AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Days - Join us in celebrating the first annual Virtual AKC RDO Days!

While checking out the RDOD website, I ran across this gem, AKC Responsible Dog Owner Pet Promise. To no one's surprise, it includes:

"As a dog owner: I promise I will pick-up and properly dispose of my dog’s waste."

Now how do we get irresponsible dog owners to jump on the RDO bandwagon?
