Alas, No More Rants

You've probably wondered why this blog has gone silent.

In a nutshell, I've finally gotten all of the ranting out of my system.

To seal the deal, I've moved to Florida, and my new neighborhood has hyper-responsible dog owners. How refreshing!

Au revoir!

Swapping dog poop for free Wi-Fi – What's Next

Interesting . . .

Swapping dog poop for free Wi-Fi – What's Next - CNN.com Blogs:

"Human trick: Pick up after your dog.
Treat: Free Wi-Fi and cleaner parks.
And, of course, they called it "Poo Wi-Fi."

Check out the video below. It's hilarious:"

SF dog-walker regulations get initial OK

SF dog-walker regulations get initial OK | City Insider | an SFGate.com blog:
"Six? Seven? Eight? Infinity? Just what should the limit be on how many dogs a professional dog walker can walk at any one time in a city park? The answer — drum role, please — is eight. That’s the number of the Board of Supervisors settled on today after much debate."

Uncharacteristically grateful for dog owners

The neighborhood has had a recent rash of crime, including, but not limited to burglaries, thefts, and gun point robberies.

So, needless to say, during these long darkness days, I'm grateful to see and be in the company of dog owners walking their dogs.

I feel a wee bit safer (no pun intended).

Happy holidays!

Threatening Trash Can Warning Sign About Dog Poop (PHOTO)

Unnecessarily Threatening Trash Can Warning Sign About Dog Poop (PHOTO): 'via Blog this'

Yikes! This is a report of someone who has put a rather extreme warning on their trash can:
"OLD LADY - If I catch you in the act of putting your dog's crap in our cans, I will cut off your head and bolt it to the hood of my car!"

I'm sharing this link with you, so that you know where the $319 fine for violating the "Pick it up" or "Carry a bag" ordinances comes from.

Sad - No Respect For Folks With Dog Doo Plight

Wheelchair dog poo sign - Castro, San Francisco CA 94114
I've been meaning to write about this for some time, and finally got around to it.

Here's the deal.  Several months back, I saw this sign posted in the window, and blogged about it, Wheelchair Dog Poo.

Unfortunately, someone decided to deface the window of this home with spray paint. I didn't have my camera on me at the time, so you won't get to see the real picture of the defacement.  The end result, the sign was taken down.

Very sad indeed.

Ben says, "Pick up your dog's poop!"

Ben says,
Dog doo can get pretty personal.

I have sympathy for Ben, as the worst dog poo offenders leave their cr*p on the grounds where we live.
