Criminy!
Today I walked a mere 4-1/2 blocks from Muni Metro to the house, and had about 5 dog poop near misses. The adjacent picture shows just one of the near misses.
I'm happy to discover that I'm not the only one driven to ranting in this neighborhood and adjacent neighborhoods, just read these two Noe Valley blog threads:

Why Dog Doo Should Be Picked Up
While doing (no pun intended) some research to set up this blog, I ran across this excellent post by Mel Freer on the No Dog About It blog, Why You Should Pick Up Your Dog’s Doo-Doos.
